These latest additions to the Gliderol fleet are all Daf Euro 6 CF trucks, which are THE benchmark vehicles for long distance road transport and have been designed for maximum transport efficiency and have allowed Gliderol to significantly lower carbon emissions. Consideration was also given to driver ergonomics and safety systems including Lane departure warning systems (LDWS) and Adaptive cruise control (ACC) and Forward collision warning (FCW), with automatic braking using distance trackers. Bespoke state of the art lifting equipment has also been added to each of the trucks, this will mean a driver can deliver, for e.g., a 5m x 5m door with the minimum of effort and without any assistance. Commenting on the new vehicle investment, Gliderol Managing Director, Roy Sinclair, stated, “This represents a considerable investment by the company and demonstrates a firm commitment to providing the best possible customer service”. “Reliability delivers trust and this is why these recent additions are a very important milestone for us because it cements once again our commitment to strengthen our reliability and the already important service we deliver to all our customers across the UK and Ireland”. “Finally, the lifting equipment demonstrates our commitment to Health & Safety, the wellbeing of our employees/customers and the flexibility we can now offer to deliver any size of a door to any site regardless of conditions or personnel available”.
