BOB LAHER RETIRES FROM MULTI SALES AFTER 36 YEARS’ SERVICE In January 2017 Bob Laher will have reached a milestone of epic proportions! He will retire from Multi Sales after 36 years of faithful service! Bob has held many key positions and provided his expertise in many areas including Support, Sales, Warehousing, Purchasing, and Management. Bob is a person of many talents and contributions. If you come into our La Palma, CA location you will see one of his many tangible contributions: the large wood “Will Call” sales counter that Bob built by hand! He has contributed to our growth and success in so many ways through the years and will be missed by all. Beyond his contribution to Multi Sales, Bob has a great deal of respect and appreciation for the Garage Door and Gate industries. He served on the CODA board for 6 years and even had a tenure as the Board President from 2001 to 2002. All of his co-workers agree that his knowledge of the industry and the trade is second to none. THE door industry journal winter 2016 Also online at: www.dijonline.co.uk 31 industry news SWS UK’S LONDON BRANCH CONTINUES TO PROVIDE UNBEATABLE SERVICE With over a year under its belt, SWS UK’s London branch is already proving to be a much-valued asset amongst their distributors, particularly those located in the south. Offering a service that is extremely efficient, customers can enjoy the convenience of a fully stocked trade counter and a 24-hour collection service, both of which have provided endless benefits, particularly amongst installers. The new trade counter within their well-placed London premises is open every weekday for distributors to collect orders or pick up parts. SWS UK are also the first security manufacturer to offer a 24 hour collection service through the use of selected containers, which give distributors access using a pre-arranged code. This service has been greatly received and has already proved invaluable to many of their customers who are all too aware of London’s busy traffic! Besides the trade counter, SWS UK have implemented many other new initiatives with the aim of making life a little easier for their distributors. One such initiative is their new Parts Catalogue which lists over 400 parts and components in a format that is easy to use. Stock codes, images and retail prices are all contained within the catalogue, therefore sourcing the correct components has never been so easy. Their London depot now works alongside their head office in Lancaster to manufacture all of their steel roller shutters, insulated industrial doors and their range of fire shutters. Both their trade counter and parts catalogue have received excellent feedback and SWS UK are delighted to be able to offer their customers an improved service.
