THE door industry journal winter 2016 39 Also online at: www.dijonline.co.uk garage doors JD (UK) AND ALUTECH DELIVER GOOD NEWS ON PRICING WHILE PROMISING MORE INVESTMENT IN GROWTH As part of the continued growth of the Alutech brand in the UK market JD (UK) Ltd. recently launched their innovative new dealer accreditation program, at a well-attended open day at their home base in Dewsbury, West Yorkshire. A range of Garage Door Specialist dealers from around the country attended to learn more about the programme and the benefits available, which will include enhanced marketing support and qualified sales leads generated through the newly launched JD (UK) garage door website. Feedback from those in attendance was very positive towards the new more user friendly website which has been designed to be engaging and personal. The marketing strategy for 2017 was presented in great detail and the role of the JD (UK) sales team explained. Internal Sales and Marketing Manager, Louis Wynne comments: “We want to give our dealers a genuine helping hand by providing expert advice and guidance to end users. We want to be sure the leads we generate are properly qualified and the end users are passed to our dealers confident both in the product and the quality of service the dealer will provide.” The Accredited Dealer Programme will therefore focus heavily on providing sales and technical training allowing Alutech Sectional Garage Door Dealers to become true experts and therefore deliver higher levels of service. The 40mm insulated Alutech Trend Series sectional garage door has already built a great reputation for product quality and affordability. The addition of this enhanced marketing strategy and the added value offered through better training and support was warmly received at the event. Driving the Alutech brand forward in the UK is also a key strategic objective for Alutech. Producing over a quarter of a million sectional doors a year from state of the art production facilities in Belarus and Germany, Alutech certainly have the industrial muscle to rival any manufacturer. In attendance at the launch event were senior representatives of Alutech who enjoyed the opportunity to meet with UK specialists. It was also the first opportunity for JD (UK) to showcase their new pricing structure for 2017. Thanks to continued price support from Alutech, JD (UK) have been able to redesign their pricing model in such a manner as to remain the least expensive option for a premium quality sectional garage door. On average the doors are 15% lower in price than their major rivals, and this is set to continue throughout 2017 as JD (UK) were delighted to announce that, despite the deterioration in the value of sterling, Alutech Sectional Garage Door prices would only increase by an average of 2.5% from a price which had already remained frozen since 2014.
