The SOMMER barriers have been designed meticulously to make installation quick and easy with simple programming and simple boom installation. However, the highest priority for SOMMER is safety. The built-in obstacle detection technology is perfectly tuned to make sure each barrier is certified according to EN 12445 and EN 12453. As a result, all barriers will stop and reverse the instant they encounter an obstacle. The SOMMER Dynamic Power System continually monitors every movement and adapts its force in line with changing weather conditions and temperature, making sure the barrier keeps working and stays safe without the need for expensive additional safety equipment. You can choose between three different models - steel barrier, aluminium barrier with integrated light, or aluminium barrier with integrated light and LED boom. Easy installation is another huge benefit - you simply bolt down, plug in and you’re done! The boom can be shortened on-site, from 6m long to the required length, and you can order either left- hand or right-hand operation - meaning there are no complicated alterations to make during installation. Furthermore, the control boards offer multiple connection points for access control and safety accessories and – thanks to the on-board receiver - it’s automatically compatible with all SOMMER’s wireless access control equipment.
