NEW FACES AND A FOND FAREWELL AT SWS UK Due to continued success and company growth, established manufacturer SWS UK has recently made several employee additions to various departments across their organisation. Managing Director Colin Reoch told us “We are thrilled with the expansion within the business and following the addition of a number of exciting new products, including Rapid Roll and our new generation of sectional garage doors, it has been necessary to appoint a number of new employees to ensure the continued excellent service we provide to our customers”. New Appointments Their Purchasing department has recently expanded with the addition of Jess Brookes who joined the company at the end of August. Jess has taken on the role of Stock and Distribution Coordinator and will work alongside the Purchasing team, contributing to the effective running of the department. SWS UK have also been delighted to welcome Howard Nuttall as their new Steel Production Manager. With a background in manufacturing and engineering Howard possesses a strong ‘can-do’ attitude and comes equipped with many ideas to innovate and improve his department. With his excellent commercial acumen Howard will use his expertise to oversee the production of the company’s SeceuroDoor industrial steel range of products. Receptionist retires after 11 years Employees at SWS UK have said goodbye to their Receptionist Ann Swan, who has recently left the business to begin her retirement. Ann, who had been employed by SWS for eleven and a half years was a familiar face to customers who visited their premises in Lancaster and was a valuable member of the reception department. Whilst her colleagues will certainly miss her, they wish her the very best for her retirement. Filling her shoes is Gill Larkin who begins her employment at the end of October. Gill joins the company with over 15 years of extensive reception experience and SWS UK are looking forward to welcoming her to the team. Finance Manager Celebrates 20 Years Testament to the company’s longevity, David Edmondson, SWS UK’s Finance Manager has this month celebrated his 20th year with the business. Reflecting on his 20 years with SWS, David told us “It has been a privilege to see SWS grow from a small business to the level it is at today. The development of the business and the people has been a pleasure to witness. It is also very satisfying to see that many of the customers who were with SWS when I began are still customers of ours now; evidence of the excellent service we provide”.
