To mark the occasion, they are increasing their dealer offering to help make the Fort Doors brochure a one-stop-shop for traditional garage doors. Commercial manager, Daniel Rutherford looks at some of the changes in store for Fort Doors’ dealers: In the article below I have highlighted what’s new for 2018 in our brochure & price list, which contains all the changes in more detail we’ve made and is currently being distributed to our existing dealers. It is also available online at www.fortdoors.co.uk . The extended price list vastly increases the scope of sizes available in our standard door range and makes it easier for dealers to select a door. Additionally, all our items can be made to measure, so we will always help you say YES to your customer’s requirements. Heading up the changes are our new Georgian panelled doors that we have named the Dorridge. The new door is, as with all the range from Fort, available made to measure in a choice of 16 colours in all gearing options. The new panel means we now offer the side hinged version in a 50/50 split in more conventional sizes, but also allows customers with smaller door openings or restricted space to have a 3 panel 70/30 split door, this allows our dealers to offer the customer the design of door required without the worry of door width restrictions. We have also added the Dorridge with windows, in standard Canopy; Tracked and Side hinged. Our window options use Pilkington K safety glass and the window cassettes can be painted to match the door colour required. We have also made changes to our wide ribbed doors in both Vertical and Horizontal versions; the new version has a new clean smooth look with no rivets showing to the front panel and once again, the updated doors can all be made to measure. Brand new for 2018, our range now includes an Open for Infill (OFI) chassis in all gear options (including side hinged) and has an easyfix hole system to make fixing your panel as straightforward as possible. The OFI chassis can also be adapted for infilling with insulated lath, so if you can’t fit a roller door you can still offer the look without the greater headroom requirement. “It’s not just our steel doors that have had updates, Timber doors and GRP have both been improved in terms of panels and chassis systems”. Finally, I would like to highlight that despite all the issues Brexit has presented so far, we have worked hard to produce our range of products with a truly British feel. All the doors in our range use as much UK sourced raw material and components as possible. The key advantage being, that a British made item is not totally exposed to the international exchange rate fluctuations, which means your customers benefit from having a British made product at a very competitive cost.
