UK Roller Shutters offer high security solutions for a wide range of prestigious customers both nationally and internationally. When they received a request for a 12m wide shutter for a private customer’s helicopter hangar they chose to work in partnership with Aluroll. The dimensions of the opening provided the main challenge, but the brief also specified that the shutter needed to be secure due to the high value of the contents. The customer did not want horizontally sliding doors, as is typical with aircraft hangars. In collaboration, Aluroll and UK Roller Shutters concluded that the i100 security shutter was the most suitable product for the application. The i100 is a double skinned 100mm steel profile. It is one of Aluroll’s most secure shutters and benefits from a maximum area of 72m 2 , with optional insulation and high security LPCB LPS 1175 SR3 and SR4 Elite upgrades available.
