LPCB are the international certification board, covering products within the security protection sectors. LPCB approval is recognised worldwide by governments and regulatory authorities and successful certification provides independent third-party confirmation that a product, system, service or installer meets the expected standard. Most of SWS UK’s product categories now include an LPCB approved version, including SeceuroGlide Excel from their garage door range, SeceuroGuard 1001; a retractable security gate and SeceuroShield 3801 from their very popular range of aluminium roller shutters. SeceuroDoor product achieves level 2 rating In addition to SeceuroShield 7501, their steel range now includes a product which has achieved a level 2 security rating. SeceuroDoor 7502 was independently tested by the LPCB earlier this year and was awarded the prestigious level 2 rating following a series of timed and structured attacks which mimic those made by would-be intruders. Designed by SWS UK’s in-house Product Development team, the 7502 uses an 18-gauge steel lath and unlike their standard SeceuroShield 7500 roller shutter, bullet locks and 100mm wind guides are mandatory as is an installation which is internal, face fitting. Each of these product innovations ensure a product which benefits from enhanced security, meaning each of the controlled attacks performed by the LPCB were unsuccessful in gaining entry. More Hart’s Speedors in Africa These two Hart Speedors, the high-speed environmental doors, are the latest to be installed at the Bakhresa Group’s Buguruni flour mill, Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, Africa’s largest flour mill. The Speedors were installed with internal and external wind bars to cater for wind pressures from both sides of the opening. They are the result of continued successful operation of four Speedors installed in the Kurasini grain intake areas also in Tanzania. “This is our third visit to Tanzania and we must thank our friends at Bakhresa for their assistance and cooperation during the installation,” says John Loftus, a member of Hart’s export team. Africa has also been a very successful export market for Hart, particularly at international airports: Julius Nyerere Airport, Tanzania; Harare Airport, Zimbabwe; Bole International Airport, Ethiopia and Casablanca Airport.
