A training programme has been introduced to keep ahead of industry changes, ensure quick, accurate order processing, effective communication with customers and to speed up response times. Responding to customer feedback, regular training sessions began in October and involve all staff of all experience and product knowledge to develop a team of highly experienced, knowledgeable staff across the board. This will create more points of contact for incoming calls from customers and means calls can be resolved quickly, which will cut down on the number of calls required per query. Nikki Wardman, Internal Sales at JD (UK) Ltd, explains, “The monthly training sessions look at product terminology and selling techniques; feature topics such as complex installation requirements and what to do in different situations; the drive through height advantages and limitations of the various spring mounting types; the different fitting options available, as well as competitor analysis and the benefits of our products in comparison. “Our team has a combined experience of 30 years, but we recognise that the market is always changing as products develop and new ones are introduced.
