However, openings in buildings present quite a challenge when the U-value needs to be as low as possible. The new ISO 80 sectional door from Alpha Deuren offers twice the insulation performance in comparison to the commonly specified standard ISO 40 door. This makes logistic operations more efficient and also reduces costs. In the best case scenario, trucks arrive at a logistics centre and are immediately loaded or unloaded. This requires fast and smooth processes in order to avoid truck downtime. After all, the doors in the production buildings are closed 90% of the time. Alpha Deuren has added the ISO 80 to its range of insulated industrial doors because door insulation performance has a significant effect on the energy equilibrium at industrial sites. Large industrial doors are often a weak point when it comes to insulation and can lead to a significant increase in energy bills. This effect is magnified as the number of doors increases, making energy-efficient operation in industrial buildings a significant economic factor. In addition, CO 2 emissions are reduced. Loading docks: The 80 mm panels used for the new ISO 80 door from Alpha Deuren offer class-leading thermal insulation. This improved insulation performance results in lower energy losses. Rubber seals: The rubber seals used for the door also contribute significantly to the ISO 80 door’s insulation performance.
