This follows on from orders from Dubai, Qatar and Abu Dhabi. APT is benefitting from the current exchange rate, which makes UK products very competitive, as well as the prestige attached to barriers that are manufactured in the UK. Middle Eastern customers are also attracted by APT’s reputation for quality, reliability and experience. There has also been increased demand for APT services on home soil, with six new barriers erected at Edinburgh Airport, a major APT partner, whilst a contract has recently been secured for service, support and maintenance at St Helens Stadium. Other UK Blue Chips include the NHS, which recently signed a new contract to extend its range of APT security products and services. In addition, the company is seeing increasing demand across the UK for its range of Rising Bollards, and Terrain Blockers as Local Authorities, Football and Sporting Venues, and Shopping Centres look to protect their customers with increased security and safety. This has led to an investment in the firm’s fleet, with four new Citroen Dispatch vans already added. This will enable APT field engineers to improve the rate of first-time fixes and reduce the need for repeat visits, as they are able they carry a wider range of replacement spare parts.
