Last October, JD (UK) and Alutech Systems announced their sponsorship of Ryan Jones in the stock car racing Brisca Formula 2. This year, Ryan competed in his new car with smart new sign writing and went on to win second place in the recent Grand National race of the Brisca F2 World Final at Buxton. He also placed 3rd and 7th in his other heats, gaining 21 points overall. Ryan is the boyfriend of Georgia Rigg who works as Roller Garage Door Sales Coordinator in the JD (UK) sales department. As part of Team Jones, Georgia has supported Ryan through his stock car journey. He began karting competitively at the age of 7, following in the footsteps of his dad and grandad to enter the world of stock cars when he turned 16. Ryan has won some major titles, his first being European Champion at the age of 18, making him the youngest European Champion the formula had ever seen. The same year he also gained the title of World Champion and the following season Ryan successfully defended his European Championship to hold the yellow and red checked roof for another year. In the Stoxkarts Formula, Ryan also won the Scottish Championship, numerous Track Championships and the very prestigious National Points Championship. Last year, Team Jones took the leap in to Brisca F2. Due to Ryan’s improvement throughout the season, Team Jones purchased a new car for this season in order to give Ryan the extra push to achieve further success. JD (UK) and Alutech Systems sponsored a place on the car with the company names. Team Jones also wore jumpers with the logos of all their sponsors for that season. Sponsorship went towards maintenance of the car, tyres, fuel to run the car, the sign writing on the car and the aerofoil on top of the car which displays the grade, number, name and some sponsors of the driver. Dedicated to Providing Excellent Customer Service JD (UK) Ltd has strengthened its sales office team with the recent introduction of three new members of staff, to deliver excellent customer service and bring new customers on board. Sally Ann-Waite joins the company as an Internal Business Development representative. Sally has extensive experience in customer service and sales support and will be the first port of call for all new business enquiries, working alongside Bailey Doran as New Business Coordinator. Sally loves to travel and enjoys walking. She has taken part in a memory walk to raise money to defeat dementia. Sally and Bailey will also be working to maintain the great relationship between the Company’s existing clients, offering assistance and keeping customers informed about offers and promotions and dealing with marketing requirements, such as requests for pictures for websites, brochures and panel samples. Sally and Bailey work closely with National Sales Manager, Jason Wade, and Northern Area Sales Manager, Nikki Wardman, so they can quickly and confidently answer any queries relating to the Sales Team. Rebekah joins the company as an is an apprentice Sales Coordinator and is studying for an NVQ Business Administration Level 3. Rebekah loves to socialise and spends as much time as she can making memories with her family and friends. Following the success of previous apprenticeships, that has seen Bailey Doran and Georgia Rigg go on to become valued, full-time members of staff, JD (UK) is a firm believer that apprentices provide a business with fresh and innovative solutions to business challenges, which is vital to help a business remain competitive and relevant in its market. Rebekah will work alongside Tina Holliday who joined the company in July as a Sales Coordinator bringing over 15 years’ experience in similar roles. Tina enjoys walking and spending time away in France. She has 11 grandchildren who she likes to spend time with. Rebekah and Tina are responsible for processing orders and dealing with customer enquiries.
