The new Boss closers feature smooth cam- action technology to make them almost effortless to open, even on heavy doors in high-traffic settings. The Boss cam-action range includes (surface mounted concealed versions in a variety of power sizes and all with a twenty-five-year guarantee. Because the cam action mechanism is so efficient, very little effort is required to open the door compared to conventional rack-and-pinion solutions. This means that even substantial smoke- and fire-resistant doors can be opened with ease by children and older people making them ideal for use in busy public settings since they can easily meet the opening force requirements of BS8300 and Approved Document M. CE- rated against EN1154 and included in third-party Certifire Accreditation Scheme the Boss TS6.224 can be used on fire-rated doors up to FD60. It can meet the requirements of ADM thanks to its opening force of less than 30N at 0-30° and less than 22.5N at 30° – 60°. The TS6.224 has a 304 stainless steel cover as standard and like all Boss closers it is available in 16 colours as standard including six bronze finishes and two stylish copper versions or can be produced in any RAL colour if required to match a particular interior design scheme.
