Door Industry Journal - Winter 2021
THE door industry journal winter 2021 Also online at: www.dijonline.co.uk Industrial Doors & Shutters SWS UK’s SeceuroDoor goes from Strength to Strength Lancashire manufacturer SWS UK, has reported a 30% increase in sales of its SeceuroDoor range compared with figures from 2020. Despite a reduction in units produced in 2020 because of the nationwide lockdowns, this is still an impressive increase which is undoubtedly evidence of the manufacturer’s commitment to understanding and meeting the requirements of the market. SeceuroDoor is SWS UK’s range of steel commercial and industrial doors and includes single skin, chain-operated and insulated profiles. Customers can choose from a range of motors, including a choice of robust GfA motors which are available with an exclusive, extended 2-year warranty. With a nationwide distributor base who have been purchasing the advanced SeceuroDoor range since its introduction in 1999, SWS UK has recently welcomed an influx of new SeceuroDoor customers, from experienced industry veterans to new start-ups. So why are installers choosing SeceuroDoor? SWS UK is recognised as one of the industry’s most established suppliers and is known for delivering quality, well-developed products and exceptional customer service. Also giving them the edge is SWS Online, their revolutionary online ordering platform which, in addition to providing 24/7 access to their account, allows distributors to easily configure complex orders with its highly intuitive quoting system. In a recent customer satisfaction survey, SWS UK’s distributors described SWS Online as “the best online system I have ever seen’ and that ‘it makes life considerably easier. It is always kept fully up to date which is excellent”. Speak to any shutter installer and they will likely tell you that one of their primary concerns in 2021 is lengthy lead times. Fortunately, SWS UK boasts manufacturing and storage facilities both at their Lancashire head office and their London premises, meaning the proactive manufacturer can offer industrial door lead times that are considerably shorter than those from other suppliers. This is attracting many installers who can be confident that, despite quicker production, they are still buying from a reputable company without a compromise on quality. Contributing to SeceuroDoor’s ongoing success is Scott McAllister, SWS UKs Factory Team Manager who joined the business just over a year ago. Commenting on his time with the company, Scott told us: “I joined SWS UK towards the end of November 2020, a time which was still full of uncertainty because of the ongoing pandemic. It has been refreshing to work for such a dynamic business. One which has faced the challenges of coronavirus and Brexit head-on, and I have revelled in being part of such a team. In my 12 months with SWS UK, I have concentrated on developing the skills within my department, ensuring we always produce the very best in quality whilst continuing to fulfil manufacturing capacities. We have some plans to introduce new, bespoke machinery which will allow us to incorporate more in-house manufacturing to the SeceuroDoor range.” View the SeceuroDoor range of products at www.sws.co.uk/commercial/industrial
