Recent updates to the code of practice and several excellent webinars provided by the dhf on a host of topics including force testing have seen a surge in demand for testing equipment. Tony Daniels-Gooding, MD of Easygates Limited explains: “As the UK partner for Germany-based GTE Industrieelektronik for the past 8 + years, we can offer their range of innovative force testing devices. With the recent updates to the dhf code of practice, we have refined the force testing APP for smartphones paired to the KMG-LITE Bluetooth-connected force testing device. It is now simpler than ever to use and guides engineers through the process of testing products on-site in all conditions”. Tony adds: “We have also recently added a new ‘Extension Set’ which provides additional easy-to-assemble pieces to the already popular KMG Spacer Set accessory. The Spacer Set and Extension Set combined, now provide multiple distance testing options ranging from 50mm up to 2 meters. This allows full testing of all types of gates/doors/barriers at all distances described in the dhf code of practice and newly revised BS EN 12453 & BS EN 16005”. In addition to Bluetooth testers with smartphone apps, Easygates also still maintains a simple-to-use website tool at www.forcetesttool.co.uk for non-connected KMG-LITE devices. This easy-to-use site can auto-populate the relevant test point positions for the dhf code of practice, so all a user needs to do is manually enter the data values from his tester and some simple site-specific data. The site then creates a valid PDF report that can be viewed instantly online or e-mailed to the client. Easygates also offer a quick, reliable UK calibration & repair service to all users of KMG-LITE, KMG-LITE Bluetooth and KMG-2000 force testers. With as little as a 2-3 working day turnaround, we are a vital partner for gate/door installers who need their testing equipment calibrated and back in their hands ASAP. Easygates, Nationwide electric gate automation, access control and safety supplier are the UK training and calibration centre for the GTE range of force testing equipment.
