Upon completion, it will include a community gym, a canoe club, a multipurpose room, storage facilities, and a toy library for children, as well as a kitchenette with changing and toilet facilities. Working with Rise Contracts Ltd and architect; Alison Crawshaw, Jewers designed, manufactured, and installed 16 sets of special Osprey folding doors for openings approximately 2000mm wide by 2200mm high for the project – some of the smallest doors we have ever made, but possibly the most involved. The architect’s brief called for a simple folding door finished to a very high standard, while still retaining an industrial and robust feel, hence the modern appearance of our Osprey door worked well. Doors are configured in 3 leaves fitted within a made-to-measure coldrolled steel frame with a built-in threshold plate and a discreet top track. The odd leaf is used as a pass door when the full opening is not required and is fitted with a pair of lever handles and two deadlocks for additional security. Each leaf is fitted with a 300mm wide by 1500mm high doubleglazed window to allow plenty of light into the garages. The door leaves, door frame, top track and window frames are powder coated to match, and special hardware colour matched and selected to suit the architects’ specific requirements. Specifications of bespoke doors are a service that Jewers Doors can offer on request, and they would welcome the opportunity to discuss. For more information contact sales@jewersdoors.co.uk
