This saves them a lot of time, as they can directly search for the product they need and place it in their shopping cart. Calling or sending emails back and forth to identify the required part is not an up-to-date practice anymore. Thus, we initially developed our online shop for spare parts in 2019.” Recently mydocking published their improved webshop with several new features that they have been working on for months. With these new features, they offer their customers high-quality spare parts combined with simplified article identification and the possibility to order around the clock. According to the mydocking webshop team, the customer feedback is very good and the new features are well accepted among customers. “With the new features, our webshop for spare parts has become even more user-friendly. Thus, we have received very positive feedback from our customers about the improvements.” – said, Michael Menzel, CEO of mydocking. Specifically, there are four new features worth mentioning: First of all, mydocking integrated an optimised search function which allows customers to filter for specific content and to see product images directly in the search window, hence identifying a product is a lot easier. Moreover, a special button was developed that shows the successor model for outdated products and redirects the customer automatically to the new product, allowing customers to order the successor with only a few clicks when they only have the outdated information at hand. For extra clarity, mydocking has revised the viewing options in their online shop. The customer can now choose between the two-dimensional and the category mode. The 2D mode shows the entire product with links to the individual parts. In the category mode, the individual parts are displayed and categorised. Additionally, mydocking has integrated configurable products such as top curtains for dock shelters in their online shop. If users click one of these items a special configuration menu opens and they can configure the article individually according to their requirements. With each change users make, the individual images and the price are adjusted, so that the user always has the perfect overview. In general, an advantage of the mydocking web shop is that there are several possibilities to individualise the customers’ shopping experience. For example, the users have the opportunity to create and save different shopping carts, so that they can easily re-order parts they often need. Furthermore, it is possible to mark specific articles as favourites. In addition, mydocking has several kits for different purposes available such as fitting kits that include all the necessary materials to get the job done. The goal at mydocking is simple – to manufacture high-quality spare parts and loading technology solutions for an efficient and safe loading environment. Therefore, dock shelters for all-around protection with different requirements are in their product portfolio, such as flap dock shelters, and inflatable and cushion dock seals. Additionally, mydocking is offering numerous spare parts for doors and loading technology along with loading technology equipment such as approach buffers in their online shop.
