Developed by AES Global, the e-loop is a new concept in wireless vehicle detection that replaces traditional wired inductive loops, saving time and money while increasing reliability. It connects easily to an existing gate controller and can be used on almost any domestic gate. To install, you simply need to code in the e-loop, secure it in the driveway, and then calibrate the system. It can be set up and ready to operate in less than fifteen minutes, which represents a huge time-saving in contrast to installing older wired loop systems. The e-loop is available in commercial and domestic (the mini e-loop) versions, which both boast high-security 128-bit encryption and a range of up to 50 metres. They also benefit from a small, unobtrusive design – the mini e-loop is just 120mm x 120mm x 30mm high, whilst the commercial version is only slightly bigger at 26mm high x 200mm diameter. But their size belies their strength. Each is made of high-impact plastic, with a static load capacity of 2500kg - and they are unaffected by ground movement. Both e-loop versions are controlled by the E-TRANS-50 transceiver - a bidirectional wireless access control system for gate and door applications. “The e-loop is a fantastic new product to offer to our customer base,” says Chris Cann, Managing Director at C-Prox Quantek. “It represents a vast improvement over the old wired applications and massively cuts down on installation time.
