A recent weekend was no exception when Garador gave support and also fielded a team to take part in a special twilight fundraising event for its local Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance service. The five-kilometre event was held at the Air Ambulance’s airbase in Henstridge not far from Garador’s Yeovil factory. The runners from Garador included a mix of serious contenders and also some fun entrants who were happy to walk along a lot of the route, knowing every step was helping to raise funds. “It was a fun event to be involved in,” said one of Garador’s team members. “There were some really good athletes taking part, but also some dressed in crazy costumes. It wasn’t a particularly competitive event; the idea was to raise as much money as possible for this local life-saving service. I think we were all extremely proud that we could take part and do our bit for such a worthwhile cause.” Alana Hardy, Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance Fundraising Events Officer praised the efforts of the participants and all those who were involved in the organisation of the day: “What a fantastic turnout for our Twilight Shift event. We were thrilled that so many people came to support the charity and raise funds for our life-saving service. A huge thank you to everyone who took part.”
